My understanding is that, in short, this is the result of banks lobbying after having been sued for business methods infringement, for some (trivial, wide-ranging) methods they used to create their products. Funny thing some particular interests managed to have their (very specialized) point of view makes a particular provision in law.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, what they say in clear is that patents for &#8221;their&#8221; business methods are bad for their business.<\/p>\n<p>Wouldn&#8217;t be the simple thing to follow the European path and declares that software and business methods are not patentable ?<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"http:\/\/gametimeip.com\/2011\/03\/02\/banks-buy-another-patent-reform-amendment\/\">GameTime IP<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>You may know that America has a new legislation regarding patents, the America Invents Act.
